Sugar may not be the best for you nutritionally speaking, but it sure does wonders for your skin! Did you know that it’s one of the best natural exfoliating ingredients available to us? Not only does its abrasiveness help physically lift off dead skin cells, but it also contains glycolic acid (part of the alpha hydroxy acid family) that works to remove the “glue” that holds on to old, dead skin cells from the upper layer of our skin. By using a sugar scrub like the one I’m sharing with you here, you’ll be able to reveal newer, softer skin – and who doesn’t want that?
This easy, homemade sugar scrub recipe contains ingredients you most likely have in your pantry. And the best part? It’s 100% natural and completely edible (I wouldn’t suggest you go eating it by the spoonful – there’s ice cream for that!). So whether you make this for yourself, or for a fun at-home spa night with the girls, give this scrub a try and enjoy “oohing” and “aahing” your skin’s buttery smoothness!
