For the most part, we all know what it takes to get great skin – and it’s not jumping through hoops, or paying an exorbitant amount of money on products and procedures, no. The key is CONSISTENCY! So whether you’re finally ready to take your skincare seriously, or you already have a routine set up, but struggle with being consistent, I’ve got a simple challenge to ease you into practicing skin-loving habits!
Your Challenge, Should You Choose To Accept It
There are only three rules to this challenge:
- Take a “Before” photo
- Practice ALL four of the following tips every day for one month straight
- At the end of the 30 days, take an “After” photo – it’s always interesting to see the differences in your skin’s appearance!

SKINCARE CHALLENGE: 4 Things To Do To Get Better Skin In A Month
I am so guilty of taking two makeup wipes to my face and saying, “Skincare, done!” It’s just that sometimes I’m so tired before bed! If you’re like me, and find yourself too tired to wash your face before bed, try changing when you wash your face in the evening and see if that will help you actually wash it! I’ve started washing my face after dinner, and it’s been a real help!
2. Protect your skin from the sun
It is super important for women to get their Vitamin D directly from the sun, so I’m not telling you to avoid the sun at all costs. What I am saying is to be ‘sun smart’: whether it’s avoiding the time of day with the strongest sun rays, wearing protective hats outdoors, or ACTUALLY using the SPF you have sitting in your medicine cabinet, please take care and protect your skin!
3. Sleep on your back
Doesn’t this sound ridiculous? Sleeping on your back can’t possibly do anything for your face, can it? Oh yes it can! Sleeping with our faces scrunched in a pillow for any amount of time, night in and night out, can cause wrinkling!
4. Get enough quality sleep
I can’t tell you enough how important our beauty sleep is. When you sleep, your body uses that time to rejuvenate itself. If you don’t get enough quality sleep, your skin will let you know! So put your phone away at 10pm instead of 1am, or choose to watch four episodes of that TV series instead of binging the entire season…
And that’s it! Those are the only things you have to do to get better skin! The key is to do them ALL, every day, for thirty days straight! I’m excited to see what kind of a difference this can make!
