A couple weeks ago, a friend of mine was having some ladies over for a “no kids, no husbands, tons of snacking” visit. And though I settled on bringing a sweet treat, I had zero time to bake anything.
Enter The Kitchen Pantry Smorgasbord:
You know that moment when you feel like eating something, but you’re not sure what? So you have a bite of this, a bite of that, a bite of whatever? Yeah, that’s what this was. I went through my cupboard and fridge and threw together what I could find that would keep my friends happy during our snack date.
Here’s what I put together:
- Cookie Butter
- Peanut Butter
For smothering on:
- Vanilla Wafers
- Toasted Raisin Bread Sticks
- Apple Slices
I basically made a Carb Lover’s version of the veggie and fruit platter. But hey, it worked for us that evening. Oh, how it worked.
And just so you know, that picture is not from that night – I had to recreate the whole thing. But you know after I got my shot, I couldn’t very well waste any of it…
